Phuket's latest tourist attraction is open for business, with Tribhum: The Mystic of Three Worlds welcoming its first guests at the beginning of February.
The world's first walk-through 3D adventurous theme park has opened in Phuket, with the public now able to experience Tribhum: The Mystic of Three Worlds.
Developed through Central Pattana Public, in conjunction with Right Man Limited, Tribhum is designed to deliver a tour of a mystic territory borne out of ancient folklore that portrays the grandeur of traditional Thai identity.
The park was created as part of the government's Thailand 4.0 initiative, which promotes new and value-added tourist activities in the province.
The 10,000 square metre site incorporates Silver Mountain, Magic Forest, and the Underworld World.
Speaking ahead of the park's launch, Central Pattana Public's Executive Vice President of Marketing, Dr. Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana, said Tribhum would serve to enhance Phuket's international reputation as a tourist destination.
"With a total investment value of 600 million baht, the aim was to make Tribhum a world-class attraction of Phuket that would top the must-see checklists of visitors from all over the world," he said.
"The venue is considered a key force that accelerates Phuket’s tourism potential, which in turn will enable the province to compete with other countries which promote tourism to the same extent.
"We are targeting 70% of foreign tourists, including group and FIT visitors, with concentrations on Chinese, Russian, Indian and European visitors, as well as 30% of Thai and expat visitors from Phuket and nearby provinces."
