AirAsia has launched a Thai airfare sale and accompanying advertising campaign to promote domestic travel for the remainder of 2020 up to early 2021.
Thailand's domestic tourism prospects for the end of the year have been given a boost, with the launch of discounted flights from AirAsia.
The 'Travel for Thailand, Get 30% Off' applies to all seats for travel from 8 November 2020 through to 31 January 2021.
The promotion coincides with the relaxing of COVID-19 travel restrictions in Thailand and includes a series of travel-inspired advertisements that support both business and leisure travel, including many local tourism operator offers, to help boost the recovery efforts in Thailand.
AirAsia Thailand Chief Executive Officer Santisuk Klongchaiya said domestic tourism was key to stimulating Thailand’s economy as international borders remain closed due to COVID-19.
"As Thailand’s major domestic airline, we are thrilled to further support and promote domestic travel that will provide a welcome boost to our country’s economic recovery," he said.
“The year’s end sees the public and private sectors working closely together to rigorously stimulate regional economies that were previously severely impacted or even halted by COVID-19.
"Now that travel restrictions have eased, we decided to launch this year-end campaign to invite everyone in Thailand to join us by supporting our local tourism operators with great value airfares and a new advertising series showcasing how businesses in every region have adapted and are offering their own attractive promotions."
