"We have seen renewed interest in the last two months, especially during the school holidays," said Henri Young, Director of Marketing, Kamala Beach Resort and Hotel Management.

Many Aussies are buying the apartments as a holiday home they will let when vacant; others are buying them as permanent residences. Some are buying the condos to rent out now, but to live in during their retirement. The properties offer the possibility of solid returns. 

The Kamala Bay location

Phuket is a much-loved, luxury-tourist destination, popular with travellers from Asia, the Middle East, and many parts of Europe. The Thai Government has invested heavily in tourism, and Phuket's infrastructure and facilities are of the highest standards.

What's happening on location

Construction of the beachfront condominiums (better known to Australians as apartments), Twinpalms Residence, is underway. 'Building C' has topped out, revealing the stunning Kamala Bay views available to residents.

Next door, construction of The Intercontinental Hotel broke ground in mid-July and will open to guests in 2019. The hotel will offer a range of villas, suites, and hotel rooms with views of the Andaman Sea and surrounding forest, and will provide a range of luxury services, including a swimming pool, spa, fitness centre, and kids' club.

HQ Beach Lounge and Café Del Mar are open and thriving right next to the development, and have quickly become an island favourites.

Only a few weeks ago, plans for an upscale residential village for mature residents were revealed. These residences will be located on a secluded hillside, offering owners a peaceful, natural setting, and exceptional ocean views.

Kamala Nippers

MontAzure even has its own Aussie-style nippers programme. In July, MontAzure joined forces with Phuket Life Saving Club and Surf Life Saving Australia to hold a Phuket Kid’s Water Safety Training Program. More than 50 Thai and international children turned up, and MontAzure will provide on-going support for a Nippers Lifesaving Club.
